Terms of Service
Effective Date: March 23, 2026 | Last Updated: October 20, 2026
Welcome to CordiaClassroom. By accessing or using the CordiaClassroom Chrome extension and web platform (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.
2. Account Registration
You must create an account to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to violate any applicable law or regulation
- Upload malicious content, malware, or attempt to interfere with the Service
- Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
- Use automated scripts or bots to access the Service beyond normal extension usage
- Resell or redistribute generated study materials commercially without permission
4. Content and Intellectual Property
You retain ownership of the original content you capture through the extension. Study guides, notes, and flashcards generated by the AI are provided for your personal educational use. CordiaClassroom does not claim ownership of your generated materials.
The Service itself, including its design, code, branding, and documentation, is the property of CordiaClassroom and is protected by intellectual property laws.
4a. Sharing With Your Class
When you share a study set with a class, you confirm you have the right to share it and you grant CordiaClassroom and the members of that class a non-exclusive license to view, copy and study it within the Service. Do not share exam questions, answer keys or other material your instructor or school does not allow to be shared (see our Honor Code). We may hide shared sets that are reported or that break these Terms, and instructors may turn sharing off for their course. Copyright owners can request removal through our Copyright page.
4b. Recording Lectures
Only record a lecture when you have permission from the instructor and when your school's policies and the laws where you are allow it. Some places require everyone's consent to record. You are responsible for any recording you make with the Service.
4c. Canvas
If you connect Canvas, you authorize us to use your access token to read your courses, assignments and course files on your behalf, as described in our Privacy Policy. Use this only as your school allows; some schools do not allow access tokens. You can disconnect at any time.
5. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer
Study materials generated by CordiaClassroom are produced by artificial intelligence and are intended as study aids only. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or correctness of any AI-generated content. You should always verify important information with authoritative sources, especially for professional certification exam preparation.
6. Subscription and Billing
CordiaClassroom offers a free plan with 3 study guides (created in the app or with the Chrome extension, combined), 10 tutor prompts, 5 Explain views and 120 minutes of lecture recording per month, plus one free use of each Pro study tool. CordiaClassroom Pro removes these limits, subject to fair-use caps, and costs $9.99 per month or $29 per 4-month semester. New accounts may start one 7-day Pro trial without a payment method; the trial ends automatically and never converts to a paid subscription. Promotional codes apply only for the period stated and then renew at the regular price.
Payments are processed by Stripe. You may manage or cancel your subscription at any time. After cancellation, Pro access continues through the current paid period. Refunds are not provided for partial billing periods.
7. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in activity that harms the Service or other users. You may delete your account at any time in Settings → Account → Delete account; your study materials are then permanently deleted and a paid plan is cancelled.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CordiaClassroom and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated content will be accurate or suitable for any particular purpose.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page with a revised effective date. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
12. Contact
